Dance, Dance, Dance

Cover, Layout Design, and Title Lettering – Dance, Dance, Dance by Haruki Murakami. The design combines a classic layout structure with modern refinements, maximizing space needed while keeping the book easy to navigate.

Adapting Jan Tschichold’s typographic grid, the layout is optimized for efficiency, reducing excess space and minimizing the page count. Chapter and page numbers are aligned to the right for the ease of use, and the traditional interior contrasts with the bold, dynamic style of the cover and title lettering.

The balance between structured order and bold visual elements mirrors the novel’s own tension, adding energy while preserving usability.
